When my old school friend Caroline Tomlinson befriended me on facebook earlier in the year it was a real blast from the past!
I hadn’t seen her since we used to sit together in art class at high school over 15 years ago! It brought back many happy memories of giggle filled sessions getting creative and causing mischief with our fellow classmates! Art had always been my favourite lesson and as I remember, Caroline always shone as an exceptionally gifted artist. So I was thrilled to discover she’d continued her talents and followed a career path as a freelance illustrator and designer.
Deciding she needed more fashion inspired illustrations for her portfolio Caroline contacted me to discuss a possible collaboration with The Stellar Boutique. As you can imagine I was over the moon! Having seen her previous work and discovering she’s carved out a very successful profile in the world of design and illustration (graduating with a distinction in her MA from the prestigious Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London) I was really excited about the concept and we set to work choosing some of the key pieces from The Stellar Boutique’s latest vintage clothing collection.
Slick, vibrant, quirky and contemporary these images capture the spirit of The Stellar Boutique beautifully.
